SCOTT A. DRAKE

BIOGRAPHY

Scott Drake was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He and his three siblings spent the majority of their youth in Ohio, where he has his fondest childhood memories.

In 1984, Mr. Drake graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Economics. Attorney Drake spent the next few years working and preparing to attend law school before working his way through his J.D. and graduating from the Georgia State School of Law in 1991. He has been a member in good standing of the Georgia Bar since 1991.

Before becoming a zealous advocate for his clients, Attorney Drake spent the first eight years of his career representing the State as a Prosecutor. He started as an Assistant District Attorney in the Augusta Judicial Circuit and served in Richmond County, Columbia County, and Burke County. He Also was an Assistant District Attorney in the North East Judicial Circuit. He served the counties of Hall, Dawson, and later, Gwinnett; where he met his current wife and legal partner, Tracy S. Drake. In 2000, Attorney Drake joined Mrs. Drake as a Criminal defense attorney.

Attorney Drake’s extensive experience ranges from areas DUI’s, traffic violations, drug and alcohol offenses and drug forfeiture actions, as well as more serious violent felony offenses, such as armed robberies and murder. He has represented thousands of clients with felony and misdemeanor offenses in Gwinnett, DeKalb, Hall, Fulton, Barrow, Walton, Rockdale, Jackson and Forsyth counties.

Attorney Drake is currently a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorney’s, A founding member of Gwinnett County Drug Court Team and was formerly the President of the Gwinnett County Bar Criminal Defense Section.

Attorney Drake is an avid skier, enjoys working out and keeping a healthy lifestyle, and spending time with his wife of 22 years and their three children Taylor, Robbie, and Marley.
